THE UNOFFICIAL FOOTBALL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP (#UFCC)
Back in Four-Four-Two Magazine in September 2004, and whilst I was on my honeymoon, I discovered that the team at the magazine had found out who the Unofficial Football World Champions were. They laid down the gauntlett to try and discover who the club champions would be. So without further ado I set to work on trawling through over 150 years worth of League and Cup results.
But, where to start?? Should it be with the Wanderers who won the first ever FA Cup competition back in 1872 or some place else?
In the end, the verdict went to the game in which the first ever goal was scored in the FA Cup. That was Upton Park versus Clapham Rovers. Clapham eventually winning the game 3-0.
Each club is awarded a point for each match that they win and should a new team win the following match in consecutive order (irrespective of competition) that are deemed the Unofficial Football Club Champions. In the event of a draw, the championship is withheld until a winner of match is found.
The team at 4-4-2 have fully researched the Unofficial World Champions and you can visit their website here for more information:

There are a number of other different versions and these can be found as follows: France, Germany, Portugal and the Women's world version.
In each of World Club version and the English versions, the unofficial competitions that took place in England during the two world wars have not been included. However, the lineage can be followed here for the First World War and Second World War. Both show where they merge back into the main versions.

As always, there was always one more unofficial project that needed to be completed and this was the Scottish version. There have been several attempts that I am aware of from information on Twitter but nothing that I can find on a website. Therefore, apologies to those that may have started this and already published their work.
There is no record of who the first ever goalscorer was in the Scottish FA Cup. However, it is recognised that the Renton versus Kilmarnock match was the first ever game in the competition.
